State Academic Capella This concert organization has its origins in the distant 1476.
It was then that Ivan III issued a decree on the formation of the sovereign’s choir choristers clerks in Moscow.
Choir participated in the dedication of temples, cathedrals tab, various church services. In 1810 he moved to the Chapel of the complex of buildings on the Moika River. The buildings were rebuilt in the years 1886-1889 and since the concert hall of the chapel is considered one of the best acoustics in Europe.
Over time, the choir chapel were added various training classes, and in 1920 added to the male voice for women. After World War II the chapel of the pupils moved to Moscow, founded the Moscow Choral School.
In Soviet times, the chapel was named after Glinka and Symphony Orchestra founded.
