It is the only building in our city entirely devoted to this art form. It occupies a historic mansion of Baron von Derviz home with a rich history. The building was originally planned as an apartment house, but the new owner decided to alter in the then fashionable style of ” Empire ”. After immigration Baron in Paris and the sale of all its assets to the mansion was attached two more floors, but in 1910 it was reconstructed and built there the theater ” House of Interludes’, which in spite of the ambitious plans, lasted only a year. After the October Revolution it was used in different ways to the needs of the Bolsheviks: Union of Metalworkers, TB dispensary, detoxification center, club workers. When for the first time here in 1998 came the employees ” Opera ”, it was in a terrible state, even during one of the concerts broke off a piece of stucco. Only after two years were carried out major works but the building is still not fully recovered.
