Garden has its roots in the days of the life of Derzhavin, as was discovered in the yard of his estate. Later he received his nomination because of the proximity of the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, visited most of the Poles.
In 2004, it was adopted a project to restore an old garden. A few years later he was transferred to the All-Russian Museum of Pushkin, and later at the expense of the federal budget was made reconstruction of the garden, according to the plan.
Garden now occupies 2.3 hectares, is in good condition, but the entrance is paid.
