In the Kalinin district of the city is Academician Sakharov Park, named for the 75th anniversary of the figure. In the late 80’s in tribute to the victims of nuclear attack Japanese cities erected in the park, “Bell of Peace”, a copy of the Japanese counterpart. It was a return gift to residents of Nagasaki Peace Park in which a statue of the architect russkuogo Anikushina titled “Mother and Child”.
Also in 2003, opened the monument to victims of radiation accidents and catastrophes in the park Sakharov.
