Dostoyevsky Museum

Fyodor Dostoyevsky Literary Memorial Museum was opened in honor of the 150th anniversary of the writer’s birth in 1971.
This building served as the last home this famous writer. Here was born the novel “The Brothers Karamazov”.
Interior room apartment reconstructed memorial on the memoirs of contemporaries and materials from the archives. It exhibits genuine thing was common in the family of the writer; books, donated to the museum by his descendants. Volume literary exposition tells about the life and works of Dostoevsky. Over the years, the museum became a scientific and cultural center. In it hosts the annual international reading titled “Dostoevsky and World Culture”. The exhibition halls are constantly hosts exhibitions of contemporary artists; in a movie theater showing films based on the works of Dostoevsky; held literary and musical evenings.
