Festival “Garden Benoit – 125 years» September 26 on the occasion of the historic garden of the famous restaurateur and TV host Aram Mnatsakanov read a free lecture and artist Nikolai Kopeikin talk about the power of folk art. It will create a picture of sand and art installation, go cycling, try specialties from the chefs of the city’s best restaurants and not only.
Back in 1904 at this place for their own architect’s drawings Benoit built a farm. She was considered a model, and even wealthy, and on the green meadow grazed more than 200 purebred cows. Its historical function was preserved and after the October Revolution. However, it is now called in a new way – “1st City dairy farm.” In the 20’s they started to develop one more direction – vegetable growing, so that during the Great Patriotic farm could supply the residents of besieged Leningrad vitamins. In 1960 savhoz moved, and in 2001 there was a fire here. Just a year ago, the farm and the garden decided to revive from the ashes like a phoenix, and September 26 ready to mark its 125th anniversary.
