The theater is located in a former apartment house AE Burtsev, erected in the years 1923-1913. Theatre premises have been designed in a building originally.
Founded 83 years ago the Grand Puppet Theatre was significantly updated in 2006. This happened due to the engagement of a new chief director, organized as part of the Workshop Theatre. Its members – the young actors-university graduates bring to the repertoire of a significant upgrade, accompanied by experimental productions. New theater performances allowed to participate in international competitions and festivals, and the actors to gain invaluable experience of the world stage
