Paris, paris.., a Toulouse-Lautrec exhibition
Time: From 11am to 11pm Place: Art-bank exhibition center at 62 Nevsky prospekt
Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec is a XIXth century French painter whose poster art is now considered iconic. He mostly made posters of Can-can dancers and circus performers in a ‘Golden Age’ of flourishing Parisian art and science they conventionally call ‘La Belle Epoque’ (‘The Beautiful Era’). Lautrec’s works render the unembellished side of night lifestyle legendary cabaret artists and courtesans lead at the time. A few episodes of the circus series will also be presented at the exhibition that will close on May 29.
